‘Basketball as a sport is low key here in England and Streetballers are not considered to be suitable players by many basketball coaches, it’s those things I want to change’.
Nathanael Coley Prince the founder of the Out of Bounds Registration spent the last six months travelling to local basketball courts and scrimmages (unofficial games between teams) searching for the right attitude to feed his work off and this is where he found the problem.
Today a lot of capable players are pushed aside building the sport on image over talent. I saw this a lot as I travelled around and it made me question the integrity of many coaches. Out of Bounds will school a new breed of talent that will encourage each other where coaches gave up at the first hurdle.’
In the build up to the sixth match Nathanael Coley Prince meets his opponent Matthew Katissa. They faced off, weigh in, and was interviewed by the press and sign contracts stating their commitment to the event and the behaviour that they will execute throughout.
On the 5th December 2009 at Battersea Youth Sports Centre the two streetballers will go head to head beginning the Out of Bounds league, showcasing their talents on a local scale with the ultimate vision and that is to elevate this platform to a worldwide audience.
